It astounds me to realize that many corporations and local small business owners can figure out how to add value to the lives of their customers and then go out and sell it. Yet, when it comes to their employees, humiliation and exploitation appear to be a trending feed on most people’s LinkedIn posts.

One of the most significant barriers to mind is young business professionals’ inability to overcome “imposter syndrome.” Even though those who are mid-way and beyond in their career will experience moments of self-doubt, young professionals coming out of college typically lack the training, skill, and experience needed to remind themselves of who they are. Anyone who has ever attempted to start their career out through unpaid internships knows this all too well.
