I would recommend a book called collaborative intelligence.

The author highlights visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modes of thought. He further explains that as humans we have all three but what separates us is where our attention goes for each one.

For example, someone with an auditory focus can be very alert on a task while taking things through but end up daydreaming into their creative thoughts by seeing visuals. Knowing the differences will help any trainer present information in a way that is unique to their student.
