The relationship between workers and employers could evolve, but so far, it has not. As grueling work conditions occur during a global pandemic, staff members face long work hours, and employees create results beyond imagination. Every single time, and while managers celebrate their ability to produce innovative developments consistently, the idea of becoming a professional appears bleaker than ever. Which makes us all wonder, what is in it for the little guy?
Given such dire circumstances, workers have every right to reconsider everything from who they want to work for and the role they expect employers to play in supporting their purpose and values. But to answer those two questions, we need to pay close attention to our talent supply, demand, and government interventions. Skilled labor Is in as 80% of job losses during 2020 were among the lowest quarter of wage earners. And by 2030, Deloitte insight estimates that 100 million global low-wage workers will need to seek work elsewhere.
