It’s such a no-brainer that we need sleep to nurture our brains and brawns But if you’re overstimulated with distractions left after right, you’ll forget to use it. In a race to catch up with everything that’s going on in the world, you will end up neglecting the one thing that’s most important, you.
But then again, isn’t that kind of the point of overstimulation? To escape through all of the imperfections of your life, To live vicariously through the also not-so-perfect lives of other people? And To stay connected at all times cause you never know when your big break is coming.
No matter how much we want to sleep we can’t cause we need to want to do any and everything at once. Yet, with more choices than ever, we lose track of ourselves and our mental health suffers, which causes us to miss out on sleep and our body’s natural ability to remind us that we need it.
And I get it, we already sleep for about a third of our lives but consistently choosing to sleep for a few hours less at night to play catch up won’t help…
